It is so close to Christmas and my class is finishing up on all our work,  like finishing the story that we started 3 months ago or getting all our math buddy tasks.  This week I went to the HNHS pool and a lot of fun. I have always thought that at the end of the school year it is much more fun than during the year.

This week we had athletics I coulden't participate because I have a broken toe but it was fun watching everyone. I got nerveos for my friends in  the race's and long jump.  In the  sprints Ana participated with stitchs in her foot she is defenitly a dare devil.

This week I worked out how decimals work it is pretty confusing but i figured it out.

this week Emma and I  made a lego house for our pet aliens we made two bedrooms one kitchen one bathroom and a backyard.  emma and I are very proud of it.

I also made an alphabet in secret letters

This week I learned what vortex is. I also learned why a shotput is called a shotput and I learned how to throw a shotput.

This week two detectives came into teach us about forensics and how they copy down fingerprints. It's  very fascinating.

This week we made dumplings  for Chinese language  week they were delish
in maths I learned  how to subtract borrowing and paying back it was easy once I figured it out
the first week of school wasn't  that busy  so I haven't got much to say

how to make pizza scone

This week we made pizza scones they were delicious.
Here is the recipe:

  Ingredients:
2 cups of flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons of butter (30g)
2/3 cup of milk
4 teaspoons of baking powder

filling options: pick three or four 
1/2 cup grated cheese
2 tablespoons crushed pineapple - drained
2 tablespoons tomato paste
1/4 teaspoon dried mixed herbs
1 tablespoon small onion finely chopped



Preheat oven to bake 220 degrees

method :

1. sift the dry ingredients into a bowl.
2. rub the butter in with fingertips till it resembles fine breadcrumbs 
3. add the milk and mix into the dough
4. knead the dough five times on a lightly floured board so the dough doesn't stick 
5. Roll the dough out into a big rectangle about 1-2 cm thick.
6. mix together thoroughly selected ingredients in a small bowl
7. 
   
spread the filling mix over the scone dough rectangle. when it's all covered in the spread roll it up. starting at the wide end cut into slices about three cm thick    place cut side down on baking paper on the oven tray glaze with milk and bake at 220 degrees for about ten minutes. take them off tray and put them on the cooling rack

These weeks have been very busy. We had cross country training and we had cooking tech which was really interesting. We have made a writer's journals too.

term 3 week 1

Maths this week was pretty interisting we learnt about measurement.
 For instants capacity and volume.
For writing I learnt how to write a report.

Thailand

About a week ago we went to Bangkok it was 37 degrees , witch is everyday weather over there. And the problem was I cant breath in air conditioned air. But at our hotel there was a pool and that cooled me down.Also the food was also different  everything was different.

Shallow lake

Today we went to a shallow lake. It was really shallow in the middle it was only up to my neck .A few days before  we went to a salt mine in Poland it was  180 meters deep ( I could like the walls he he)

Poland

Yesterday  we arrived in Poland.We are staying at my mums side of the family on a farm. After lunch we went to a grave yard  and lit candles for my great grandma and grandpa. I found out that there are a lot of generations in my family. then we went to a geese farm and look at 3000 little geese that had only just cracked out of eggs the day before. They were very cute. Then today we went to a museum in Poznan , and learnt about how the settlement's were built and came to be. After that we went to a mall to bye amber earrings,  and I learnt that amber comes from trees. Poland has a lot of amber. Amber is fossilized tree rezin which has been apreciated for it's coler and natural beauty since neolithic times ( a long time ago ).

Bouncing so high

Yesterday we went to a sushi restaurant they had little sushi rolls that were so cute and delicious. On the way back we  had to go through a festival.  We went to this stall where  there were four trampolines and these springy ropes attached to a  harness. You bounce really high you could also do back flips and front flips it was really fun.

Berlin !

On  Tuesday  we drove to Berlin. We are staying at mum's best friend's apartment in the fourth story. I don't want to look out of the window because it's so far down . Her boyfriend is a famous artist he is called Ryo Kato . He has made really cool paintings . On the first day we were here, my brother and I  were painting in his study with  him. we learnt lots of painting techniques. Like dripping the paint down the page as if it were blood. or just blotching around.

Heide park

Yesterday my family and I went to Heide park. it's a theme park . My favourite ride was this round fenced off thing. It went so fast it pushed you against the wall so you couldn't get your arm away from the wall.There where a lot of other rides and we didn't even get around the whole park.

exchanges

 A couple of day's ago I went to a friends place I have known her for a really long time

 ( since i was 1) now i'm 11. When I was there we decided that when we were older we would do a exchange, that's  were  you swap over with friends or just random people from around the globe. And live in that country and go to school there with your freind. 

Schwarze Berge wild park

A few days ago we went to a animal park it was really cool. There was a flight show, and the deer were running free. We also saw foxes getting fed, and we went into a bat enclosure. The bats landed on my hand. They are actually really cute.
 A few days before we went to an 'Eisdiele' which is like and Ice Cream Parlour and got 'Spaghetti Eis'. The 'spaghetti' made of vanilla ice cream and the sauce is strawberry.
Now we are staying with friends where we used to live.The other day I went to school with my friend, and it was pretty different to the school in New  Zealand they all spoke in German and it got pretty confusing for me.

Last week I was in la.  I went to hollywood, and into the desert. it was really hot in the day and then cold in the night. then I flew to germany.its nice here the trees stay green even in summer not like NZ.

 The end of term 1 has come and I have learnt a lot, but this week I learnt this

• How to make scratch art.
• All the big disasters that happened in NZ.
•  I made a poem.

Week 9

I learned how to line dance. We did a social dance on Monday. This is where I learned to line dance.

We are also doing this challenge where we have to get an egg and make a house for it. We have to make sure the egg doesn't crack. My egg is called Isabelle.

I have learned:

• How to say some Maori vegies.
•  How to read big numbers like  391,309.

week 4

For the last few weeks, we have been doing electronics in tech. We made " emergency lights "  at times it was confusing but I  got through it at the end it's amazing this is what it looks like.

Week 4

This week we started a new project in tech.We get to make night light out of a picture and a piece of cardboard, and put led lights. This is the picture I'm using.      
I cant wait to put the lights on. 
We also did swimming sports. Now that was awesome fun. We had really fun races, but I couldn't do it because my leg was really hurting.( I twisted it and pulled a muscle on my bike)
